Welcome

"The Thames is liquid history."  John Burns (1858-1943), a Vauxhall born Liberal MP, helped create the first council estate in 1903 (Battersea's Latchmere Estate) and campaigned for the workers in the London Dock Strike of 1889. Burns loved cricket and loathed beer. [Source: Wikipedia]
